![]() ![]() Adding more variety to the looks of the slashers from their mutations isn't a bad or unfaithful thing. The naked slasher (which is also present in Dead Space 1), twisted slasher, two of the male civilian slashers, Earthgov Security Slasher, and possibly the armored slasher (not sure because they are extremely mangled) are examples of male slashers that have scythes form from their arms. He will act as any other Slasher and attack Isaac. Franco's transformed body can be seen if Isaac re-enters the cell. You might want to take another look at Dead Space 2 then. Dead Space 2 - Necromorph Slasher:In Dead Space, its the 26th Century and youre Isaac Clarke, an engineer sent to repair the interplanetary mining ship. The Necromorph Transformation Lithograph distributed with the Collector's Edition of Dead Space 2 shows the transformation of Franco. I forgot to mention, the exception is DS3, where some slashers have too many mini arms for those to be thier original arms and things like that, but part of the visual design for DS3 was that even the human sized forms were made from multiple corpses at that point presumably to conserve biomass. I can't think of any male slashers from the originals that had their arms be the scythes. In the original, you watched helplessly as an infecter converted a corpse into a slasher necromorph, before they both burst through a glass window to attack. This is what this remake is getting wrong. Female slashers have the scythes formed from thier arms and males have the scythes formed from thier shoulder blades (for some reason).
